Release Notes May 2023

Updates and improvements to the obi app for web, iOS and Android.

Inspections App

A new release for the obi mobile app showcases a completely redesigned inspections module. Based on extensive user feedback and research, we have identified critical improvements to the inspections experience on mobile.

The interface has been rebuilt with ease of use as the highest priority. Contextual help sections have been added in key areas to aid understanding and help to guide the user through the inspection workflow, from creating an inspection and dropping pins, to detailing issues and assigning responsible persons.

The controls on each page have been reviewed to more closely align with the standard components used by iOS and Android. Users will recognise the search functions, field inputs and page controls from their mobile device or their favourite apps.

Additional validations have been added to form inputs to prevent missing or unreasonable values, and aid in the accuracy of inspection reports.

These features have been widely requested by end users, and we hope that they will improve the experience in the apps.

Users now have the ability to add users to a folder in file manager, by choosing a permissions group from the drop downs. Any user added to that permissions group will automatically be added to that role in the File Manager folder.

In Issues log, users can export a filtered list of Issues as a zip folder. This folder will contain an excel export of the issues log, and a copy of the issues report pdf and a folder containing all evidence attachments (original and closeout).

When a user uploads a report to a project, all users from that company will see the same report on that project. This allows users to view or re-use reports generated by their colleagues.

API improvements have increased the loading speed of the submittals log in design deliverables. Further technical improvements to Design Deliverables will be included in upcoming releases.

Bug fixes to improve the stability of Report Builder. Further stability improvements for Report Builder are coming soon.
